Little Women
Whenever I do these theater shoots, I always watch the movie to familiarize myself with the characters and what they’re like. I then go to a location an hour or two before to scope out where each character should be posed. Little Women was no exception. I brought some props to help certain scenes and made notes on where I wanted each character.
I actually ripped off the font from the more recent movie version of Little Women. We also improvised a lot while out there, picking up shots here and there that we thought could be used for press.
These were all shot at the Repentance Park by the State Capitol in Baton Rouge.
These were all cool, but it was the final poster image I was most pleased with. I think this was the last shot of the day before the sun completely went down and I was super happy with how it turned out.
I was doing some research on The Beatles’ Abbey Road album cover, so I guess that was in the back of my brain when I came up with this while walking across a little footbridge.
